Shari also conducts workshops addressing personal, spiritual, and professional growth, and is currently writing a book about the principles and techniques that are the foundation of her coaching and healing practice.
Training. Since her early 20s, soon after earning a B.S. degree in Advertising from the University of Texas, Shari has been a student and teacher of principles and practices that maximize human potential. Her studies and training include Eastern and Western philosophy and spirituality, psychology, metaphysics, meditation, energy healing and other holistic healing methods, and the Universal Laws and science of success. Her coaching training comes from Coach U, the worldwide leader in coaching training programs, and she has Masters level training in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.
A holistic healing practitioner, Shari is certified in Pranic Energy Healing, Advanced DNA Theta Healing, Touch for Health therapy, Open Heart Meditation, and Advanced Reference Point Therapy. She also developed a guided imagery process called "Awakening to Love" which heals emotional wounds by providing the experience of oneness with the source of all creation: the energy that is pure unconditional love.
Professional Background. While preparing for her coaching and healing work, Shari had a 15 year career in New York and Los Angeles as a top-producing advertising sales management executive for major national magazines, including TV Guide, Mademoiselle, and US, as well as for launches and re-launches of smaller titles including Business 2.0 and Natural Health.
Working with a diverse client base that included Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods, Johnson & Johnson, Nike, Microsoft, Apple, Twentieth Century Fox, Toyota, Nissan, Neutrogena, The Gap, and other leading national brands, as well as major natural product marketers, she was a sales leader whose contagious enthusiasm, passionate drive, and unwavering focus, as well as her expertise as a relationship-builder, creative strategist, and problem-solver, produced several million dollars in advertising revenue.
In her roles as manager and director, she not only continually exceeded sales goals, but also built winning teams and sales strategies from the ground up and mentored budding sales stars who have become leaders in their field.
Passions and Pursuits. When Shari isn't pursuing her passion for helping others achieve optimum well being and success, she enjoys nature, painting and drawing portraits and landscapes, traveling, reading, the performing arts, inspirational movies, dabbling in Feng Shui and creating beautiful environments.
She has been fortunate to devote time to education, insight, and renewal during extended sabbaticals, including two years in Maui and lengthy stays in Italy and the south of France.
A proponent of green living, she lives healthfully and is always seeking ways to tread more lightly on the earth. Being a big animal lover, she supports organizations devoted to animal rescue and humane treatment. Through participation in the Kiva micro-financing program, she also helps support entrepreneurs in disadvantaged parts of the world.
